I love this time of year when I get to sit and reflect on finishing another amazing wedding season. We had the honor of capturing 18 weddings and a handful of engagements, bridal portraits, maternity sessions, newborn portraits, commercial shoots, headshots, and family portrait sessions. We had folks in front of our lens for the first time and for the third and fourth time. Some of our favorite moments were seeing couples whose weddings we shot years ago, asking us to document them again now with their growing bumps, newborns, and multiple kids. We photographed our friend Katie (Sarah K Photography!) with her sweet pup Annie again, and even got in front of the lens ourselves with our talented friends Jessica Braxton Photography and Amber Willis Photography. In the midst of so many sweet moments for our clients, we experienced our own major first this year - becoming parents to our sweet little boy, Franky, who was born in November after wedding season came to an end. We could not have been more grateful for our couples who were not only gracious about our pregnancy announcement but celebrated alongside us with sweet congratulations and even thoughtful gifts for our little boy. It has been such a reminder that this job is inherently personal, that we have the unique joy of being drawn into happy and celebratory moments, and how that bonds us to those we have in front of our cameras in a very special way. My cup definitely runneth over this year, in so many unbelievable ways.
Here's to the unforgettable, once in a lifetime kind of memories we've made in 2022, and those we'll make in 2023. Happy New Year.
