My Why

More than anything I've ever done in my entire life, becoming a mother has been the most momentous and surreal experience I could have never prepared myself for. When my husband turned the camera around to show me this image, I had never loved a photograph more. In all my years as a photographer capturing endless special moments for my sweet clients, the true weight of what this is all for truly sunk in. This image stirs all those feelings of the unfathomable, all consuming love I feel for our little boy and how new and overwhelming it all felt in those first weeks. Every family deserves photographs of this time that is truly not quite like any other you'll experience in your life.
