Yesterday Victor and I visited a place we've never been before - Sanford, NC - to meet Jessica and Jason for their engagement session. I've been communicating with Jessica via email and Facebook for what seems like forever now since she booked us last year for her June 2011 wedding. I have heard about her wedding planning and seen photos of her wedding dress - all this before ever meeting her! It was great to finally meet face to face and to do the engagement session we'd been talking about for months. Jessica wanted a more stylized session like the ones she'd seen on wedding blogs, which I was absolutely excited about. What really made this engagement session special was the location...Jason's boss and boss' neighbor so graciously allowed us to use their property as a lovely backdrop for the session (there's Carolina kindness for ya!). :) Meeting someone and immediately photographing them is a very unusual, but interesting, way to get to know someone quickly. In the couple of hours we spent with them, I found their interaction endearing and Victor and I both left even more excited about shooting their wedding on June 4th in Oriental, NC. Before I get into the photos, though, I have one word for Jason..."mudpie."
Have I ever mentioned how very much I love being a photographer in North Carolina?
