If you could pick one moment that stands out to you as the best on your wedding day, what would it be? Our first look. We have been together for over 9 years and we were so happy to finally be getting married. We weren't nervous, just excited to see each other and start our lives together as husband and wife. Having those few moments alone before seeing everyone together made it a lot more intimate for us. Also, we were pretty emotional and being alone made us more comfortable to let it out.
During your wedding planning, what was your vision for your wedding day? I wanted a romantic outdoor wedding, with a classy reception and lots of dancing! Lots of love and sentimental.
Describe any special traditions, personal mementos, or helpful friends/family members who played a sentimental role in your wedding planning or wedding day. I had small charms of my grandparents attached to my bouquet so that I could look down and know they were with me throughout the day. They have both passed, and it was nice to have a small piece of them with me.
What made you choose your venue(s) for your wedding day? I wanted an outdoor ceremony in a garden that was affordable, and the landmark was perfect! The gardens and the reception hall were on the same property, which made it much more convenient for us and our guests.
What was your First Dance song? Is there a special story behind it? "Say You Won't Let Go" by James Arthur. We've known each since we were little and have been together for 9 years. The lyrics talk about being together forever and how much you love each other, which was perfect for us.
What was one wedding planning decision that proved invaluable? We absolutely loved our day-of wedding coordinator, Aneesa, of Harmony Weddings and Events. She was fantastic! She helped execute everything for the day-of perfectly. Without a doubt, worth every penny.
Another thing I would highly recommend doing is a photobooth! We had the shootbooth from the ladies of Magnolia Photography set up their booth and it was so much fun. The photos that our guests took are very entertaining, and they loved them as well. There was a line for the booth all night!
