If you could pick one moment that stands out to you as the best on your wedding day, what would it be? By far seeing Allan at the end of the aisle stands out to me the most. I was nervous about everything working out after a last minute venue change due to weather, but when I saw Al all of that went away! None of it mattered anymore! The weather ended up cooperating after all and everything else was perfect!

During your wedding planning, what was your vision for your wedding day? Classic and Southern! I wanted everything kept as local as possible, from the food that we chose for the reception, to the flowers and favors! All in all, Al and I wanted all of our guests to have a blast!

Describe any special traditions, personal mementos, or helpful friends/family members who played a sentimental role in your wedding planning or wedding day. There were several small mementos that I included throughout our wedding day. My bouquet was wrapped in a part of my mother's wedding dress and I carried two rings inside the bouquet, one from my grandmother and one from my godfather, both of which are no longer with us.
The gold bracelet I wore was my grandmother's that my mom let me borrow for the wedding day. We also had a table at the wedding of pictures of all those that could not be with us for our special day.

What made you choose your venue(s) for your wedding day? The weather! Our original outdoor, riverside, tented venue was changed due to Hurricane Joaquin. The O'Marks building downtown was an awesome last minute back up plan! We were lucky to find a great place with history and character and I love how everything worked out! We did not get washed away or covered in mud! The church we were married in is the church that I grew up attending with my family!

What was your First Dance song? Is there a special story behind it? I just love "Lucky" by Jason Maraz and Colbie Caliat! Allan and I say all the time how lucky we are to be so blessed! We survived two years of a long distance relationship and the song means a lot to us!

What was one wedding planning decision that proved invaluable? Umm... Our Photographer!! We did not have a wedding coordinator, so all of the organization was left up to my mother and I! After the venue change, everything got turned on it's head! Cindy was awesome and stepped in to give us guidance when needed! The day went by so fast and I am grateful that we have amazing pictures to remember all of the tiny details.
